Great Article to Check Out

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

Writer Kristyn Lewis did a great job in her article featured on Redbook.com.  In her article, Kristyn showed how to really get yourself focused for a great new year.

She lists step-by-step ideas on how to live boldly and purposefully.  She stresses making a plan and giving your dream real time in your life.  I really liked this article and think it is a great starting point for getting revved up to make 2008 a great year.

Welcome to 2008, Your Best Year Ever

Monday, January 7th, 2008

Welcome to a new and exciting year!  I know, you haven’t heard from me in a few weeks.  Everyone deserves a vacation right?

Now I’m back and my goal this year (just like last year) is to help you have a wonderful and prosperous year.  I want 2008 to sparkle for you!

To make this happen I’ve designed some really great workshops, ecourses, and other programs and events to help you make the most of this year.  In 2008 I’m going to encourage you to live boldly.

To get you started I’ve designed the perfect refreshing yet motivational workshop:  Create Your Prosperity Plan For 2008.  That’s right, I’ve designed the perfect workshop to help you create a real practical plan to live life to the fullest.

Your Prosperity Plan will help you get from wanting to do “something different” to living your dream.  This fun workshop has all the tools you’ll need built right in.  You don’t want to miss this workshop (so stay tuned for the updated listing).

As always, I want you to know your purpose, develop your plan, and to live your life to the fullest!  I pray you think positively, abundantly, and most of all joyfully.  So sit back, get ready to take action, and enjoy the ride.

This year, 2008, is going to be your best year ever!

P.S.  I’m working on updating the workshop listings so be sure to check back in a few days to see all of our great offerings.

Someone Could Use Your Gift

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

Thanksgiving is now over and if you didn’t get a chance to do something nice for someone else, you still have time before 2007 ends.  One of the best gifts you can give someone is kindness.

If you haven’t done so already, why not pick 5 people, charities, etc. to offer your kindness to.  This is not about monetary contributions (you may offer these too if you wish); rather this is about sharing a God-given gift you have with someone else.

It doesn’t matter what your gift(s) is (cooking, writing, etc.).  You can offer your gift to a special person and/or charity that will really appreciate your kindness.  This act of kindness will also be a great creative outlet for you during a very busy and often stressful time of the year.

Not sure which of your gifts to offer?  Why not pick 1 to 3 (more may be a bit much) that may benefit charities that touch your heart, have impacted your family, or are active in your community.

This is the time of year to really reach out and help others.  Here are a few tips to get you started:

  • Start with your local phonebook or even go online and pick a few people/charities.
  • Call them up and see what help they need.  Many charities are under staffed so you may need to call more than once.
  • If one of your gifts is what they’re looking for, offer it up (have a few ideas in mind before you call).  For example maybe you love to do creative writing and your local hospital could use someone to write letters to sick children from “Santa”.
  • Be sure you deliver.  Don’t offer your gifts if you don’t think you will be able to follow through.  This is worse than not offering at all.

If you’re looking for a way to give back and a way to do something you love during this busy time of the year, offering your gifts may be perfect for you.

If you know of a charity you’d like my other readers to consider, drop me a line and I’ll be sure to include them in another blog post.
