What Do You Believe In?

I know this may seem like a really weird question. In fact it’s supposed to be. But the purpose for me asking is quite important and actually means more for your true purpose than any other question I could ever ask you.

Why?

Simply because what you choose to believe in can either make or break your ability to truly discover your true purpose. If you believe (and I’m talking really deep down) you have a real purpose in life; you will not only discover it, but it’ll feel almost impossible to not fulfill it.

However if you do not truly believe you have a purpose, you’ll have a hard time trying to discover it. This is a fact of life. But there is hope if you think you may not have a purpose.

Now I know right now you may be thinking oh this is that “The Secret” stuff. But it actually goes much deeper. This translates into every area of your life. Because you’ll need every area of your life to grow if you’re going to do your dream work.

For example:

If you believe you’ll be successful in your career. You will be.
If you believe your finances will improve so you’re able to fund your dream work. They will.
If you believe you’ll find the time you need to do your dream work. You will.
And so on…

Now let’s first get something straight. Things will not always be easy. You will not wake up one day and suddenly believe you have a true purpose and the work will just fall into your lap. Yes this may sound a bit discouraging but on a deeper level you’ll benefit more if you have to grow to believe.

This way, when you make the conscious decision to believe it’ll be that much harder for someone/something else to deter you. This means you’ll have to make some changes. You’ll have to develop “thicker skin” so others’ opinions don’t deter you.

You’ll have to develop new habits and even friendships. So you’re behaviors attract and retain only the people who want to see you succeed. You’ll have to do things you may have never done before. To ensure you don’t fall back into habits that work against you.

The choice to believe in yourself will cause monumental shifts in everything you see, say, think, and do. In the end…the opportunities, achievements, and blessings will be well worth it. Along your life’s journey you’ll have to grow and push yourself. You’ll have to think positively and victoriously.

If you choose to believe in yourself, your purpose, and most important your God, you’ll have all you need to learn your true purpose and share it with the world!

Fortune Cookies I Love!

This weekend my family went to our local Asian market. My hubby and I are on a detox so we are using rice paper, noodles, flour, etc. While there I purchased a small bag of fortune cookies for my boys.

They rarely eat sweets so I thought this might be a nice treat for them. Well in the package I got the same fortune twice. Sure I know they’re mass produced but still in the same bag I got the same fortune twice.

So get this, the fortune speaks to what I help Moms do, so well. It speaks to the very essence of my work. I know you can’t take it any longer and want me to get to the point, well here goes. The fortune was…

“Sure, you have duties, but what about your duties to yourself?”

I LOVE IT! This made me almost tremble with excitement. I thought wow what a perfect time to get this and to be able to share it with all of you! So with that I ask you, what special duties are you doing every day, week, month, etc. for yourself?
